With a Master’s degree in Food Science from McGill University, I bring both passion and expertise to the food industry. My journey in food science is driven by a profound curiosity and dedication to excellence in food processing. I have a solid academic background and extensive hands-on experience in quality control, regulatory compliance, and innovative process development.
My connection to food is personal as well as professional, stemming from a lifelong fascination with the science behind what we eat. This has heightened my awareness of sustainability, leading me to prioritize environmentally responsible practices in all my work. My approach is meticulous and client-focused, ensuring high standards and dependable results for every project. This includes hands-on experience in sensory evaluation, formulation optimization, and stringent quality control to deliver exceptional products that consistently meet industry standards.

“My fascination with the complex processes behind everyday food sparked my journey in food science. After completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Food Processing Technology, I found myself both excited and humbled by the depth of knowledge required. The intricate regulations and multi-level processes ensure the safety and quality of the food on our tables – a responsibility I find incredibly motivating.
My internship in the dairy industry deepened my understanding of food processing. This experience challenged my technical skills in sensory science, food chemistry, nutritional value calculations, labeling, and quality assurance/control. While applying these skills to improve processing standards, I also gained valuable knowledge in bakery and confectionery, including formulation and business trend innovation (e.g., artisanal products). Through this experience, I discovered that the food industry has a many facets yet to be explored.
To curb this enthusiasm, I pursued a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Science from University of Alberta. The degree along with working as Plant Quality Assurance Tech at Agropur Cooperative gave me an opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This combination has equipped me to contribute meaningfully in a variety of food industry sectors.
